Sadly, the old Taqueria is no more. In it's place is the new Half Dome Village Meadow Grill. The Meadow Grill is located next to the Half Dome Village Store and faces the parking area.

The fare includes organic and higher end items fast food items geared towards the natural food enthusiast. Not all of the menu is on the nature kick, but for some good grub after a hike up to the Mist Trail or coming down 4 mile trail, this is a good choice for a quick meal.

I made my way there in hopes of hitting the taqueria but decided to grab a grass-fed hamburger and a side of fries and my daughter ordered an all beef hot dog. which to my surprise was delivered quickly despite a good sized line. The burger was above average and to guess, I would put it at 6oz. I really hate to say this, but the fries were some of the fries I have had, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside they just needed a bit of salt to make them pop.

So, what to expect from this new fast food joint? Here is a quick run down, but have a look at the menu to see it all. On top of the grass fed burger, there is an organic turkey burger, an Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Burger, a veggie burger, a chicken pesto panini sandwich. Got the craving for a hot dog? The all beef hot dog was really good and served on a freanch roll, it's not that skinny dog Mom makes, but a thick dog that will fill up any kid on the go. They also have a Chicago dog, an Asian Dog that is topped with Asian cole slaw. and a Pioneer dog that has bacon and sauteed onions.
